NCC's operating profit climbed +78% to SEK 1,26 billion (€ 135 million) in the first half of the year, compared to the same period in 2006. Sales revenues were up +15% to SEK 26,9 billion (€ 2,87 billion). The Nordic and Spanish construction markets grew well in the first half of the year and NCC is forecasting a +3% rise over the course of the year. However, NCC warned this was leading to a shortage of materials, subcontractors and skilled workers, which was pushing up costs.
