Onsite strengthens in Victoria with Geelong depot

Australia's Onsite Rental Group has opened a new location in Geelong and said it represented a milestone in its expansion plans for Victoria state.

The Sydney-based company is strongest in the states of Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales, but is now expanding its operations in Victoria. It opened a hub branch in Melbourne recently and Geelong, west of Melbourne, is the state's second largest city.

Onsite Rental Group chief executive, Mark Rich, said; "The launch of our Geelong branch is an important step in our Victorian expansion strategy, ensuring we are well positioned to provide services to customers across the south west region and within the growth corridor of North West Melbourne.

"Victoria is a key growth state for the Onsite Rental Group and we are focussed on expanding our operations throughout the state."

Onsite said Geelong and Surf Coast regions are key locations for customers across the building and engineering construction, government departments, industrial, manufacturing, special events and contractor markets.

The Geelong branch offers customers a wide range of hire equipment, including portable buildings, portable toilets, fencing, and power and access equipment.

The opening of the Melbourne hub and the Geelong locations follows Onsite's acquisition last year of the Ifco portable buildings business in Victoria, "which significantly enhanced the group's strategic position in the state."
