North America's second annual Aerial Platform Safety Conference (APS) takes place from 30 November to 2 December in Houston, Texas, in association with IPAF's North American subsidiary Aerial Work Platform Training (AWPT).

Speakers include IPAF/AWPT training manager Rupert Douglas-Jones and AWPT executive vice president Denny Eckstine. Douglas-Jones will speak on safety harnesses, reviewing different practices and legislation in various countries and also explaining how harnesses actually work, why it is necessary to wear one in a boom lift and how the wrong harness and lanyard system can do more harm than good.

AWPT will also be running PAL Card training programs on the first three days of the event. For further details see www.apsconference.com
