The Goldhofer THP/SL modular transporter will be at Intermat for the first time.

German specialised transport equipment manufacturer Goldhofer is exhibiting for the first time at Intermat. On show will be the 45 tonne axle load THP/SL heavy duty module type transporter and the XLE 6 compact trailer system.

A high bending moment in the THP/SL design means high axle load capability for minimum unladen weight. Long suspension travel allows the twin-tyre heavy duty modules to be used off road. An hydraulic axle compensation system is used for levelling and the hydro-mechanical all-wheel power steering is a twin-circuit system.

THP/SL can be coupled longitudinally or transversely and it is compatible with the other THP systems. A combination of goosenecks, loading bridges and hydraulic drive systems allows customers to combine features for different applications.

The XLE 6 Compact System is a multi-use trailer for various types of construction machinery. A 6-axle version handles a payload of around 80,000 kg. It has a 950 mm wide excavator recess to stow large excavator arms and reduce transport height. Its rear bridge allows a long extension length but low net weight and height, Goldhofer said. It has a steering angle of 60 degrees and 600 mm suspension travel. XLE can be operated with a total combination length of 23 metres without a co-driver (German regulations).
