Philippe Clover becomes president of Indian rental company Quippo

Philippe Clover, the former Hertz Equipment Rental Co (HERC) and Caterpillar rental executive, has joined Indian rental company Quippo Infrastructure Equipment as its president.

Mr Clover has extensive experience of equipment rental. In 1991, after several years in car rental operations in Europe, he joined HERC in France and rose to become its operations director for Europe. He then left Hertz and joined Caterpillar as its rental development manager for Europe.

Mr Arun Kapur, Quippo group president, said; “We are extremely glad to have Philippe on board. We are confident his association will bring success to the group. The appointment of Mr Philippe, with his deep knowledge and international expertise, will allow Quippo to identify and explore new avenues and opportunities in a more effective manner.”

Quippo is India’s largest equipment rental company, with annual revenues of under €15 million and 13 rental depots around the company. In addition to its equipment rental operations, it also has divisions for the mining sector and telecommunications.
