Plantool Hire opens new centre and expands fleet

UK-based Plantool Hire Centres has opened a larger depot and taken the opportunity to invest in new, larger equipment.

The latest addition to its growing powered access fleet is the LGMG AS1413E, an electric scissor lift with a maximum working height of 15.8m.

Plantool Hire Centres operates six depots across the Central and East Midlands and has just moved its Warwick operation to more spacious and modern premises on the town’s Heathcote Industrial Estate.

Company Director Ben Jones said this has allowed investment in larger machines, like the LGMG AS1413E, supplied by UK distributor Access Platform Sales (APS).

For smaller, but growing plant and powered access specialists, this relationship between storage capacity and the size of machines stocked is an important one.

“It’s exciting to now have the capacity to scale up our powered access offer with the purchase of bigger LGMG scissor lifts,” said Jones.

Plantool Hire Centres currently operates three LGMG electrical scissor lift models, the 7.8m working height AS0607E, the 12m AS1212E, and the 13m AS1413E, all of which can be operated indoors and outdoors.

All three scissors provide full height drive, have direct drive electric motors and share the same operating system.

The LGMG scissors lifts can be hired through Plantool Hire Centres depots in Daventry and Kettering, in Northamptonshire, Stratford Upon Avon and Nuneaton, in Warwickshire, and Lutterworth, in Leicestershire, as well as the new Warwick depot.
