Ramirent has completed the full acquisition of its Slovakian rental partner, OTS Bratislava spol.sr.o (OTS). Ramirent acquired 60% of the business in 2008 and has taken up its option to acquire the remaining shares.

OTS has a nationwide network of 38 stores, which Ramirent said is the largest in Slovakia. The company will be renamed Ramirent spol s.r.o. in April.

"During the past three years we have renewed the entire equipment fleet and added new product groups, so that it is today a full product range rental company," said Tomasz Walawender, Ramirent's senior vice president, Europe Central.

"We are very happy that the former owners and current management team continue to lead the Ramirent organisations in both Slovakia and Czech Republic."

Ramirent said the acquisition was in line with its strategy to grow in Central and Eastern Europe. "The Slovak equipment rental market is still at an early stage of its development and Ramirent's nationwide network provides a very good base for developing further the market in Slovakia", said the company.
