CECE, the association representing the interests of European construction equipment manufacturers, has opened registration for its CECE Summit 2019.

The event, set to take place on October 16 and 17, at the Autoworld museum in Brussels, carries the title From Bricks to Bytes and will focus on, among other things, the contribution of innovation to a sustainable construction industry.

This year’s summit has particular relevance for the industry, being CECE’s first major event following the recent European Parliament elections.

CECE itself says the challenges facing the industry within the European Union can only be tackled through a joint effort between industry and the EU institutions. It adds that this is the key moment for European manufacturing to urge the EU to put industry at the top of the political agenda for the next five years.

As usual, the CECE Summit will include both members-only and public sessions, with members invited to the CECE EDA Think Tank and Statistical Commission on day one, while public sessions on the first afternoon will include an Inspirational Speech from a surprise guest.

CECE will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a dinner at the end of the first day, with economic and technical forums for all delegates, kicking off day two, followed by talks for CECE members on concrete equipment, hydraulic attachments and road equipment.
