Renzo Pagliero has taken over from Andrea Certo as the president of the aerial platform division of the Italian association for industrial automotive equipment.

At the last meeting of the PLE (Produttori Piattaforme di Lavoro Elevabili) di ANFIA (Associazione Nazionale Filiera Industria Automobilistica), Mr Pagliero, president of Multitel Pagliero was voted in as the new president. After two years as the association's president Andrea Certo executive manager of Oil & Steel decided not to stand for re-election.

Mr Certo, does, however, remain a member of the directive council, taking over from Mr Pagliero as the representative for truck mounted platform manufacturers. Roberto Marangoni general manager of JLG Industries Italy takes over from Stefano Di Santo of Haulotte Italy as the representative for self propelled booms.

President Pagliero said, "A vote of thanks from part of ANFIA and all sections of the PLE goes to Andrea, for his achievements during the two years of his presidency and, above all, to have worked hard to create a division of ANFIA which represents the powered access industry. It will be my task to continue the activity started by my predecessor and represent the many requirements of the section, the majority of which aims to improve the safety conditions of the workers who use elevating platforms in their work."
