Specialized heavy lifting and moving company Rolf Riedl in Germany is celebrating 25 years in business. It was started by Rolf Riedl in 1987 as an international operating project and forwarding company in Hagen in Westphalia.

Riedl used his decades of professional experience, most recently as managing director of a heavy haulage company, and his international contacts. At the age of 48 with a small team he started the company in February 1987. On board from the beginning was Joachim Patzner, who brought many years of experience in heavy duty load movement. Completing the team running the company is Iris Müllejans (born Riedl).

In its first year the company initiated the founding of the European Heavy Lift Group as a platform for cross-border co-operation. In 1994 Riedl realised his concept of an international full-service company in the plant and project sectors.
