Riwal has become the sole owner of Riwal Spain, after buying out its minority shareholders.

At the same time the divisions Carga, specialising in lift trucks, and Ecologic, electric vehicles, were transferred to the former minority shareholders.

The company has also appointed a new country manager to run the division. David Cagigas previously held senior management positions in France, Spain and the Middle East with Lavendon Group.

As country manager, he will be responsible for developing and leading the company’s country strategy.

Region director Wayne Lawson said: “Riwal is positioned to provide enhanced service levels in the challenging Spanish market.

"With the extensive experience of David Cagigas in the Spanish powered access industry, he will be instrumental in helping Riwal continue to provide outstanding service for our customers and to serve as a strong leader for our employees in this critical country in Europe.”
