Riwal has acquired ALS Safety, a UK-based provider of working at height training.

Operating from five training centres across the UK, ALS Safety provides accredited IPAF training and PASMA training as well as health & safety and first aid training.

ALS Safety will continue with its name and branding and the ALS Safety staff will be employed by Riwal. The Riwal UK management team will be involved in the day-to-day management of ALS Safety.

Norty Turner, Riwal’s CEO, commented, “At Riwal our business is founded upon safety. It is an absolute critical element in everything we do. ALS Safety is a good strategic fit to our business and will support our growth ambitions in the UK as it will enable us to provide a broader range of training to our customers and in more training facilities. In addition we will bring our rental solutions to ALS Safety’s customer base.”

Darren Verschuren, ALS Safety’s managing director, added, “We have gained a solid reputation in the industry and as part of the Riwal Group we will be able to further grow our service offering to a new customer base and into new geographical areas.”
