Rototilt has announced the start of its 2021 Excavator Hero campaign - an annual competition that aims to put the spotlight on “skilled machine operators who are the backbone of their industry”.

Running from mid-October and into November, this year’s social campaign incorporates a “digital twist” that will see 12 participants from around the world submit a self-produced short film that showcases their excavator skills.

Jack Sklenar, social media coordinator at Rototilt, said: “These are our customers who are active on social media in spreading knowledge and passion regarding the possibilities when using a tiltrotator.

“We want help and give them an even larger stage to present themselves.”

While all 12 of the participants will have their short film published on the manufacturer’s website, a series of public votes will see just one named ‘Excavator Hero 2021’.

In addition to some personalised merchandise, Rototilt will also provide the winner with free travel, accommodation and admission to Bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany.

Rototilt said: “We want to lift skilled people who, with the help of their tiltrotator, perform impressive work and love to share these results with the digital world”.
