AF Decom's 34 m high reach is now ready for certification testing at Rusch's Amsterdam factory

Rusch has almost finished work on its 34 m (112 ft) reach modifed Cat 5130 mining shovel. The machine will undergo its DNV certification test on Friday of this week with delivery due shortly afterwards.

In addition to its 25 tonne Genesis shear, it carries a 5 tonne Exprev fitting that ensures that the shear always cuts in the correct plane so that the boom does not experience excessive torque forces during cutting operations
