Mtandt has appointed Subhamoy Ghosh as its group president.

Mr Ghosh brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the India-based company having served as managing director of Palfinger Cranes India.

“We welcome Mr Ghosh’s rich experience and leadership to the group,” said Rakesh Modi, managing director of Mtandt Group. “In his role as president, he will be responsible for sales and distribution of aerial work platforms and material handling equipment, improving gross margins, and enhancing the company’s profitable growth.

“His professionalism, results-oriented approach and ability to think strategically will play a pivotal role in extending our track record of innovation, while helping us grow profitability,” added Mr Ghosh.

Mr Ghosh explained that some of the most influential companies in India are using platforms and safety systems. “I am excited to be part of the group and ready to take on the new challenges as president of company.

“We will be focusing on building Mtandt as a great brand while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Also we will be fully exploiting the opportunities in the material handling segment across the country.”

Trained as a mechanical engineer Mr Ghosh has also been vice president of ACE, a leading crane manufacturer in India. Before joining ACE he held several executive leadership positions at Hyva India, Volvo Trucks India and L&T.
