Swiss offer

CRH has made a CHF 540 million (€ 336 million) offer to acquire Gétaz Romang, a building materials distribution business in Switzerland. The deal has been recommended by the company's board, and family owners, including CEO Jean-Jacques Miauton, have agreed to sell their 23,55% holdings. Gétaz Romang had sales of CHF 875 million (€ 545 million) last year, predominately in the French speaking part of Switzerland.
