Trimble releases three new tech products

Trimble SiteVision Software 5.0 is an outdoor augmented reality system that has recently been updated. The latest version now includes a new 3D scan tool which allows users to use LiDAR sensors available on some Apple Pro devices.

Trimble says the tool enables users to capture high-accuracy, georeferenced point clouds with a workflow as easy as taking a picture. With SiteVision 5.0, users can create as-builts of their job site on the go, measure and plan resource allocation, reduce scan times, supplement drone data, and model preconstruction conditions.

Another new launch is the Trimble TDC6, a lightweight GNSS data collector designed for high-performance construction surveying.

The company says that the TDC6 allows contractors to work with more complex data sets more effectively in the field, connect to the office for on-the-spot approvals, and communicate changes to field crews quickly and easily. The device is said to be small, rugged, shock, dust, and water-resistant, and offers integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, built-in cameras, and 5G compatibility.

In addition, it works with Trimble Siteworks Software for construction surveying and can also be used with Trimble SiteVision Software, an augmented reality solution designed to improve various construction workflows. 

Lastly, the Trimble Radio is an external radio with Bluetooth technology that can transmit, receive and repeat GNSS corrections. It is designed to support both Trimble and third-party RTK base stations and is said to put the latest data link technology in the hands of users on the job site.

Trimble highlights that the radio has a user-friendly interface, making it easy to set up and configure. The Trimble radio is available in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand through the SITECH distribution channel.
