Two die in boom accident

Two men were electrocuted and died when the boom lift they were operating made contact with overhead power lines.

Juan Bocanegra, 37, of Fort Myers, FL and Dustin Manning, 30, of Bradenton, FL were electrocuted around 1:30 p.m., according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

The two men were working at a Fort Myers Beach, FL condo complex when the basket of the boom the were working from came in contact with power lines directly overhead. They had been hired to remove molding from the condo.

According to police reports, Bocanegra was working for J Baller Construction; Manning was working for Cutting Edge Moldings.
