A pair of vehicle mounted loader cranes will be launched in April by Penny Hydraulics, IC exclusively reveals. The UK manufacturer will show the new 500 and 1,000 kg capacity Swing Lift cranes at the Commercial Vehicle Show, Birmingham NEC, 25 to 27 April.

Both models have hydraulic slewing and the 1 tonner has an electric winch, especially useful if a load needs to be lowered below ground, for example, in civil engineering applications. Boom height and extension is selected manually. To maximise load area the new subframe is designed to be more compact than on the previous model.

Penny Hydraulics' range of vehicle mounted cranes and platform lifts are designed to help operators comply with manual handling regulations and reduce the risk of injury and damage to vehicles and loads. The company designs and manufactures load lifting and handling equipment that includes the Swing Lift range of medium duty cranes for pickups, dropsides and flatbed trucks, and the Step Lift, Load Lift and Tail Lift lifting platforms for pickups, dropsides and vans. Also manufactured is equipment for lifting and handling wheels, tyres and barrels.
