Truck investment for Star delivery
22 March 2016
Star Platforms has invested in two new delivery trucks to continue its promise of next-day delivery.
The first of the new 32 tonne DAF delivery vehicles, based on a Montracon body, has already arrived at Star Platforms’ Kent depot in the UK. The second truck will be delivered to the Luton depot soon.
The DAF CF 410FAX 32 tonne truck will allow Star Platforms to deliver and collect more powered access machines, as well as a heavier range of platforms, and meet the company’s promise to be a leader in customer service.
Star Platforms managing director Steve Simmons said, “Having an exceptional HGV transport fleet is just as important as supplying the very latest powered access machine to rent.
“The delivery trucks are ideal for our growing range of larger platforms, which now includes the Nifty HR28 Hybrid 28m rough terrain boom. We can now carry more machines on a single load, so can react more quickly to our client needs.”
The investment increases the Star Platforms delivery fleet to eight vehicles, all of them FORS and Crossrail compliant.
