Italy-based rental company Werent-Venpa Sud has invested in a second 103m working height P1000 truck mount, manufactured by Palfinger Platforms.

The purchasing agreement was struck between Michele Marraffa, managing director of Werent-Venpa Sud and Paolo Balugani, managing director of Palfinger Platforms Italy - the Italy distributor of platforms manufactured by Germany-based Palfinger Platforms. Delivery of the P1000 Top Class is expected in the third quarter of 2018.

Venpa Sud was established in Martina Franca in 1996, going on to become a major MEWP distribution and rental company in the south of Italy. In 2016 it opened an office in Venice under the Werent name to improve coverage in northern Italy; followed by the new Fidenza headquarters and logistics centres in Ravenna and Taranto.

“The choice made by Werent-Venpa Sud is doubly important for us,” said Paolo Balugani. “On the one hand, it confirms the quality of the Palfinger Platforms machines. On the other, it confirms the renewed trust of one of the most important Italian players in the rental sector, which exports its services internationally and therefore needs a reliable partner that is present in every market.”
