Alimak Group has received an order from Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. for a number of its construction hoists, with a total order value of approximately USD $8.37 million (Swedish Krona 76 million), as part of a program with the rental company.

The order includes configured construction hoists for the U.S. market to support Bigge’s expansion plans and will be delivered throughout 2019.

“Bigge is one of America’s leading project services companies and has been a long and valuable customer to Alimak. Alimak Group divested its U.S. rental business to Bigge in 2016 and I am happy to continue our great partnership with them in the U.S. and to see the continued demand for Alimak Group’s market leading vertical access solutions for the construction sector,” said Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO of Alimak Group.

“We continue to see growth in our hoist rental business,” said Weston Settlemier, CEO and president of Bigge. “We attribute this growth to a strong economy, a quality offering lead by our industry leading sales, operations and service teams and a gain in market share. We are committed to supporting our customers while expanding into new markets. In order to fuel this growth, we have placed a large order of hoists to be delivered in 2019. At Bigge, we strive to deliver the perfect fleet. Alimak excels in all categories we measure to determine the perfect fleet asset. Alimak has a professional team and best-in-class product. With over 102 years in business, we look forward to the next 100 years with Alimak.”
