Kato returns after 20 years

The first new Kato KA-1000RX all terrain crane and the first new Kato SR-500LX rough terrain crane sold to Chi Deh Crane Engineering in Taiwan

After a 20 year absence, Japanese crane manufacturer Kato Works returned to Bauma for the 2019 exhibition in Munich, Germany.

At the exhibition the company launched its new 100 tonne all terrain crane: the KA-1000RX. Kato also displayed a range of compact city cranes, including its new 25 tonne capacity CR-250RV Cityrange model.

Speaking of the company’s return to Bauma, Colin Cleary, managing director at Rivertek Services (Kato’s European crane distributor), said, “We were delighted to return to Bauma. We have been hugely encouraged by the interest in our products and the extremely positive feedback from existing loyal customers. We believe we are extremely well placed for future growth within our market.”

Kato said its stand at Bauma was busy throughout the week-long exhibition and that it recorded a number of sales to buinesses in countries including China, Austria and the UK.
