The five-section heptagonal boom telescopes out to provide a maximum lifting height of 20.1 m (or 26 m with a fly jib) and its maximum working radius is 19.2 metres. The crane can travel with a 3.5 tonne load for pick and carry applications.

The CC1908S-1 has a two-speed winch, a hydrostatic transmission, a 6/4/2 fall hook block, a tilt sensor and alarm, an anti-slack device, a ten-inch touchscreen monitor, a boom slewing limiter, an onboard camera and monitor, plus a wide-view roof window with a sun shade and visor. The cabin is air conditioned, too.

The crane does not have outriggers which, Maeda said, gives it a slim working footprint. Work in restricted areas is further aided by the crane’s short tail swing.

The mini crawler has a Yanmar diesel engine that is EU Stage V and EPA Final Tier 4 compliant.

Optional extras include: a 1.5 tonne hydraulic fly jib and a new two tonne searcher hook and blade.
