Four JLG articulating booms have been delivered to Algeria for use in oil and gas, following previous deliveries to the same organisation.

The delivery of the 40m working height JLG 1250AJP’s, earlier this month, follows a tender from the Sonatrach Group, launched by the ENGTP (National Enterprise of Large Oil Works), at the end of December 2019. In July 2019, ENGTP received six JLG articulating booms, bringing the total to ten, over a twelve-month period.

“The relationship between JLG and ENGTP stems from 2009, the year in which the first orders were formalized between the two companies,” said FE Mouaci, technical assistant director at ENGTP. He continued, “ENGTP operates a fleet of 28 JLG machines with a variety in working heights. The equipment operates on all our sites in the north and south of Algeria in major construction work for oil and gas companies. The working environment is rough but the JLG machines continue to operate under severe conditions. The equipment has proven to be very reliable allowing us to meet project deadlines and considerably improve our services.”

David Courtin, JLG regional sales director for Southern Europe and North Africa, added, “We are very happy that another leader in its category has chosen our machines and renewed its confidence in us once again.

“As part of all contracts signed with ENGTP, our official JLG distributor in Algeria Fayalift Eurl has provided in-depth training to the teams employed by ENGTP and takes care of the technical needs and the supply of spare parts necessary to support the customer in maintaining its products.”

ENGTP is a 100% subsidiary of the Algerian Sonatrach Group, specialised in the construction of large industrial complexes intended mainly for the production, transformation, transport and distribution of hydrocarbon.
