Demolition contractors and equipment manufacturers from countries as diverse as India, New Zealand, Russia and Singapore are among the entrants for this year’s World Demolition Awards.

The awards ceremony takes place during the World Demolition Summit in London on Thursday November 2 – and it follows a hugely successful 2016 event which featured 11 different winners from a record number of entries.

And with this year’s entry once again reflecting that international flavour, as well as attracting several companies who are entering for the first time, another keenly contested event looks certain.

The next stage will be the shortlisting process, where the awards’ eight-strong line up of industry experts – four Europeans , three Americans and one Australian – will pool their 300 years of collective experience to decide the winners in each category.

The names of the winners themselves will be revealed on the night at the London event.

The World Demolition Summit, which features a one-day technical conference and networking opportunities as well as the awards presentations, is organised by Demolition & Recycling International magazine in co-operation with the European Demolition Association. The headline sponsor is Volvo Construction Equipment.
