Roadtec’s Jeffery Lee Richmond Sr dies aged 60

Roadtec Inc’s former president, Jeffery Lee Richmond Sr, has died at the age of 60.

Richmond passed away during a holiday with his family in Charleston, South Carolina.

Born on November 6, 1955, in Aurora, Illinois, Richmond lived most of his life in Chattanooga, the home of Roadtec, a subsidiary of Astec Industries Inc.

Richmond began working for Roadtec in 1996, with positions including sales manager and vice president of sales and marketing, before becoming president in 2004.

While heading up Roadtec, Richmond made great strides in furthering the company’s international presence and developing global sales of its asphalt paving equipment

He is survived by his wife, Julie, two sons and six grandchildren.
