Emsley purchases Liebherr cranes

26 March 2019

Harrogate, UK-based crane hire company Emsley Crane Hire has bought four cranes from manufacturer Liebherr since the start of 2019. The first two, which it has already taken delivery of, comprise: a two-axle LTM 1040-2.1 and a 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1. These will be joined by a 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2 (with ECOdrive and ECOmode) and a 100 tonne LTM 1100-5.2. All four cranes will have fly jibs and Liebherr’s VarioBase outrigger safety system.

Emsley Crane Hire has 38 other Liebherr cranes in its fleet with capacities ranging from 35 – 220 tonnes. It also has an MK 110 Liebherr mobile tower crane.

Tom Emsley, operations director of Emsley Crane Hire said, “After my first visit to the Liebherr factory in Germany I was very impressed with the scale, professional facilities and cranes they manufacture. It was therefore very easy for us to decide to buy more Liebherr Cranes. This is our first Liebherr order for a while and we are delighted to be expanding our fleet with four new Liebherr cranes. Our existing fleet is testament to our commitment to the Liebherr brand and we know that there will be some useful developments in the technologies and capabilities of the cranes that our customers will benefit from.”
