Held in Paris, France, on 31 August, a new project was also launched, relating to the definition of rental penetration.

The ERA has previously relied on construciton industry output, as well as country-by-country population, to benchmark rental penetration. However, following the American Rental Association’s (ARA) rental penetration index, which it launched in 2013, the ERA had initiated a research project, in order to follow the same model, to provide a more accurate market penetration output.

The meeting allowed the commitee the chance to review the status of this project and to decide its next steps.

The statistics committee is open to every member of the ERA. If you are interesting in joining, or if you wish to receive more information on the works of the committee, please do not hesitate to contact the ERA secretariat, at era@erarental.org
