Ramesh Lal of Snorkel, presents Alex Siegl with the award for being the aerial lift manufacturer’s best-performing sub-dealer in 2010.

Josef Siegl GmbH, one of Snorkel's regional distributors in Germany, has been named the aerial lift manufacturer's best-performing sub-dealer in 2010. Siegl has now won this award for the past four years running.

Ramesh Lal Gadre, Snorkel distributor and major accounts manager for Germany said, "Siegl consistently performs at a high level for Snorkel. The company has a very knowledgeable team, who provide a superb level of customer service and product support.

The criteria for the best-performing sub-dealer are based on sales during the calendar year. Snorkel defines a sub-dealer as a company with responsibility for a specific region within a country. Snorkel works with sub-dealers in large or fragmented markets, such as Germany. Elsewhere, Snorkel generally works with one single exclusive distributor for each EMEA territory.

Based in Karlsfeld, near Munich, Siegl is a specialist in aerial work platforms and fork lift trucks. The company celebrates 48 years in business this summer. It became an UpRight dealer in 1993, which amalgamated into Snorkel in 2010. Along with being a regional dealer for Snorkel, the company is an IPAF-accredited training centre and a dealer for Mitsubishi fork lifts and Dieci telehandlers.

Siegl is one of four Snorkel regional dealers in Germany. They are supported by Snorkel Deutschland, part of Hubarbeitsbuehnen Bielefeld, which also sells direct to major rental companies in Germany.

Alex Siegl said, "Winning this award four years in a row is a proud achievement for me and all the team at Siegl GmbH.

"We have been involved with UpRight for more than 17 years and the switch to Snorkel last year was a big change for us. However, we have embraced the opportunity and I believe this enthusiasm has contributed to our ongoing success."
