2009 European Rental Awards update

By Murray Pollok20 October 2008

The second European Rental Awards will be held during the ERA’s 2009 Convention in the UK in the first week of June. The awards will again be organised by International Rental News (IRN) and the European Rental Association (ERA).

The awards will be a scaled-down version of the very successful inaugural event in Amsterdam in June, with awards in just three or four major categories. The new format for the awards is designed to match the smaller size of the 2009 ERA convention, which will take place over two days rather than three and will not include the International Rental Exhibition (IRE).

The IRE show is likely to take place over a three year cycle, with the next event provisionally scheduled for 2011.

Michel Petitjean, ERA's secretary general, told IRN that the association was finalising plans for its convention, with a venue outside of London - possibly in the Birmingham area - now under discussion.

Full details of the ERA convention and the 2009 IRN/ERA European Rental Awards will be publicised by November.
