2012 World Demolition Awards – shortlists announced

The judges have almost completed their provisional assessment of the entries that have been received for the various categories in the 2012 World Demolition awards and determined the companies that should be shortlisted for each. The detailed examination of each entry will now be undertaken to decide the eventual Award winners.

As editor of D&Ri, and as a result having seen every entry that has been submitted for this year's set of Awards, I do not envy the judges their task in separating out a standalone winner for each Award!

This is further confirmed by the fact that we have to delay the announcement of the shortlist for what is arguably the top Award, the Contract of the Year. The number of entries for this category, allied to their very high standard, have created a major challenge for the judging panel in their determinations. The shortlist for the Contract of the Year Award will therefore be announced by Wednesday 29 August, 2012.
