This year marks the 60th anniversary of roadbuilding machinery firm Bomag and to celebrate it, the company has launched a product and service campaign that features new models, special editions and a 60-month warranty on parts for lightweight equipment.
In recognition of this milestone, the compaction technology specialist has offered its compaction measurement system Economizer at no charge to customers who purchase the BMP 8500 multi-purpose compactor by the end of June 2017.
German-based Bomag – now part of the Fayat group – said it continued to invest strongly in research, development, education and training, while also launching an average of 15 new products every year.
One example due to premiere in the company’s 60th year is the new pneumatic tyred roller BW 28 RH.
With a cab that has been modelled on the head of a hammerhead shark, the operator is given a clearer view of the top of the wheels , allowing for more precise work on asphalt edges and joints.
The roller is available in a new range of precise operating weights from 8.6 to 28 tonnes, excluding works.
Jörg Unger, president of Bomag, said, “No matter where we are in the world, we always maintain our focus on the customers’ needs.”
As a result of its developmental partnerships with customers, the company said its products met not only market requirements but also the needs of users.
It said the machines had a long service life, low servicing requirements and control systems that were easy to operate.
