In operation for around 80 years, Cranes, Inc is a New York City-based rental company that provides industrial, rough terrain, all terrain, crawler and tower cranes with capacities up to 625 US tons (567 tonnes) to the country’s entire Northeast region.

Rob Weiss, Cranes, Inc president, said, “I’m thrilled to be the first customer in the country to receive an LTM 1110-5.1.”

Weiss took delivery of the new mobile crane at the ConExpoconstruction equipment exhibition in Las Vegas last week. The equipment purchase continues the company’s long history of adding the latest crane models to its fleet.

Weiss said, “We’ve always been kind of a pioneer with Liebherr. We’ve had the first LR 1350s in the country. We’ve been the first for a lot of products.”

According to the manufacturer, Cranes, Inc also received the first LR 1400 and LTC 1055-3.1 models in the USA.

The new five axle LTM 1110-5.1 has a 52 metre telescopic boom and includes multiple driving configurations to make it suitable for use on roads around the world.

Introduced to the market at Bauma 2019, the mobile crane’s rear outriggers have a double-stage design that increases load capacities by enabling a wider supporting base at the rear of the crane. It also has the manufacturer’s support base technology, VarioBase Plus.
