Australia-based Custom Ladder Company has appointed Lift Safe Ltd as its UK distributor for the Stockmaster Electric Lift Truk.

This is the first time the Stockmaster Electric Lift Truk ladder platform has been available in the UK. It allows the operator to ascend the ladder into a secure platform, from which they operate the electric-powered lift mechanism for loading. Items can be picked, lowered and transported in one action –using one piece of equipment.

The whole stock picking process can be safely handled by one person, removing the risk entailed in using a second person to pass items up or down, said the company. The lift handles loads of up to 60 kg at working heights of up to 3 m. Less than 0.76 m wide, it passes easily through standard interior doorways.

It can be used in a range of applications, such as warehousing, industry, retail and document storage. The manufacturer, Custom Ladder Company, has appointed Lift Safe Ltd as its UK distributor for the Stockmaster Electric Lift Truk.

Jerry Hanss, managing director of materials handling and access equipment specialist Lift Safe Ltd, said: “Stockmaster provides a very fast return on investment. It reduces handling time and labour, while also acting as a lift, platform and trolley all in one. Most importantly, this product improves safety, thereby protecting workers and reducing time lost to injuries, stresses and strains.”

There are four models, ranging from the compact SMLT04E with a platform height of 1.15 m to the SMLT07E with a platform height of more than 2 m. All are fully certified to European Standard EN 131: Parts 1 and 2. Standard features include auto-locking brakes and an adjustable platform safety rail. The battery pack can be swapped out in seconds, ensuring minimal down time.

Custom Ladder Company is based in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. It has been designing and manufacturing specialist ladder platforms since 1995.
