Deutz begins phased return to production

Deutz has announced a phased resumption of its production activities in Germany and Spain.

The German engine manufacturer reopened its plant in Zafira, Spain, on April 14, with its German plants set to reopen today. Deutz shuttered the majority of its facilities in Europe on April 1.

The company said all sites will operate with “extended safety measures to protect the health of the workforce”.

Dr Frank Hiller, chairman of the Deutz Board of Management, said, “We are resuming production to meet customer demand. The health of our employees remains the focus of our efforts, and we are keeping a close eye on the situation in case we have to react to developments at short notice.”
