Hirschmann sensors go wireless

Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH has introduced its range of wireless sensors made up of fSENS KMD-W1 force sensors with capacities of 6 and 20 tonnes: the gSENS WGF-W1 angle sensor, the iSENS WSS-W1 wind speed sensor and the iSENS HES-W1 Anti-2-block switch.

The sensors can be retrofitted to many cranes and offer graphical displays with up to seven sensors with individual alarm settings to manage all information and alarm events, says the company. The displays show actual force, angle, wind speed and other important values for crane operators. All sensors can be operated using standard alkaline or lithium batteries and usually last 12 months in typical applications.
