The second International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) US Convention will focus on AWP management responsibilities. Access, Lift & Handlers, IPAF's official North American magazine, will be at the event and Lindsey Anderson, ALH's editor, will be giving a presentation.

The event will be held on October 22-23 in the Orlando area at the Bohemian Hotel Celebration, 700 Bloom Street, Celebration, FL 32747. This member event is also open to non-members.

The convention starts at noon on October 22 and ends at noon on October 23. Speakers will represent the full spectrum of the industry - manufacturers, dealers, training companies, users and operators. Presentation topics include:

  • What is ANSI and OSHA compliant operator training?
  • The need for accident reporting
  • The state of the rental market
  • Standards and safety developments
  • MCWP special sessions
  • The latest on anti-entrapment
  • The need for risk assessment
  • Pre-start inspections
  • What makes a mechanic qualified?
