Iceland latest stop on Rototilt ‘journey’

Rototilt has set up an operation in Iceland as the latest part of its international expansion programme.

The company, which manufactures tiltrotators for excavators between 1.5 and 30 tonnes as well as a range of control systems and tools, has its manufacturing and product development base in Sweden. As well as Iceland, it has subsidiaries in Canada, Finland, Germany and Norway and sales and service representatives in Benelux, Denmark, France and the UK.

Jón Geir Sigurdbjörnsson, who has more than 20 years experience of the international construction market, will lead the Icelandic company.

Group sales and marketing manager Per Väppling said: “Our local dealers will take care of sales, service, support and spare parts, and Jón will be their main contact with the factory in Sweden.

“We are currently building a robust dealer network in the Nordic region and now we have chosen Iceland as our next stop on this exciting journey.”

As part of its expansion, the company has also changed its name from Indexator Rototilt Systems to Rototilt Group. The change became effective on 1 March.
