Komatsu Europe International has launched the D85EX/PX-18 crawler dozer, which has operating weights between 26.8 and 30.19 kg and is powered by an EU Stage IV emissions certified engine.

The company said it had delivered a product with a more environmentally friendly engine that provides high performance while reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.

William Groven, product manager for dozers, said: “Thanks to its automatic transmission, the D85EX/PX18 always operates in its most efficient working range.

“This function drastically enhances the machine’s productivity and lowers its fuel consumption, making it the most fuel efficient in its class.”

The Komatsu EU Stage IV engine has a diesel particulate filter, while an advanced electronic control system manages the airflow rate, fuel injection and combustion parameters.

The control system is also integrated into the machine's on-board diagnostics and Komtrax, Komatsu’s telematics system.
