Heavy lift and specialized transport company Mammoet USA helped with an expansion project at the Reficar Refinery in Colombia.

Reficar is the largest petrochemical refiner in Colombia. Mammoet was contracted to handle all overland transport, inland shipping and on-site lifting for the project. At the project's peak, Mammoet provided more than 120 cranes, ranging in capacity from 18 to 1,350 tonnes. A 900 tonne gantry crane system, 154 axle lines of self propelled modular trailers (SPMT) and 48 lines of conventional modular trailers were also used.

Mammoet was contracted to work on site for three years. The project is scheduled for completion in 2015.
