Product launches from Zoomlion access

Zoomlion is set to launch new models at APEX Asia.
The manufacturer, which officially launched its access division last year, will show a new 14m electric articulating boom lift, 20m electric articulating boom lift, 34m telescopic boom lift, and low level electric scissor lifts.
Zoomlion’s ventures into the access industry have already been well-documented in the pages of AI. Testing of the production facilities started in October last year and full production has been up and running since the beginning of this year. The existing scissor models range from 4m to 14m platform heights. Each model is available in hydraulic or electric drive options. Plus, there is also the option of lead acid or Lithium batteries if required.
“It all depends on the market but China is changing and moving towards more Lithium because the cost is coming down,” says David He, sales and marketing director of Zoomlion’s Aerial Work Platform Machinery Company.
This new technology coincides with a falling away of traditional forms of access, says He. “Scaffolding has a slow return on investment and is not safe. While AWPs are safe and you get your money back quickly.”
