Ramirent has signed an agreement to acquire the telehandler business of Kurko-Koponen Companies, a leading rental provider in Finland.

In addition, Ramirent has signed a co-operation agreement with Kurko-Koponen for telehandler operator services. It means Ramirent will have the widest telehandler service offering on the Finnish market.

Kurko-Koponen's telehandler business, established in 2010, has a rental volume of €6 million. Under the agreement seven of its employees will move to Ramirent.

”The acquisition complements our comprehensive equipment and service offering, enabling us to offer a wide selection of telehandlers combined with professional operator services," said Anna Hyvönen, Ramirent EVP Finland and Baltic. "The acquisition also brings us new inroads to customer sectors such as construction, industrial maintenance, mining and bridge construction.”

Juha Koponen, Kurko-Koponen chairman of the board, added, "Co-operating with Ramirent gives us the chance to develop further our operator services in Finland."
