TowerLight has just launched an LED lamp version of its lighting towers.

Italian lighting tower manufacturer TowerLight srl has established a German subsidiary located in Ihlow-Riepe, on the north coast close to the border with the Netherlands.

The business is being run by Marco Wijnbergen, who has extensive experience of the generator and lighting tower market gained with Bredenoord, for whom he worked for 22 years up to 2009. Mr Wijnbergen is a director of the new business.

The subsidiary, Towerlight Deutschland GmbH, has been established in partnership with a German generator company called Thet based near Hamburg.

TowerLight said the subsidiary will "directly distribute products to rental companies, resellers and end users through a German distributor able to totally support German customers." It will also provide after sales service to German customers.

Meanwhile, TowerLight reports expanded export sales in Brazil, where it is currently shipping around 20 lighting towers a month to rental companies. It has a partnership with the Brazilian subsidiary of German compaction manufacturer Weber MT, which is selling the TowerLight units under the Weber brand.
