The machine is ready for transportation at the Van der Vlist headquarters in Groot-Ammers

Specialist transport company Van der Vlist met challenges to transport a Komatsu dump truck from Groot-Ammers, Netherlands to a customer in Germany.

Before the transport could begin, the machine was assembled at the Van der Vlist headquarters in Groot-Ammers. During this process Van der Vlist technicians made specific alterations and carried out pre-delivery inspection, a company spokesperson said. It was then partly dismantled for transport.

The main section of the Komatsu dump truck weighs 54 tonnes and is 5.5 metres wide. The body of the machine weighed 16.5 tonnes and is 5.6 m wide. Following delivery it was assembled on site for the customer.
