Vinci signs for Paris campus

A joint venture led by Vinci Construction France and Engie Cofely has signed a contract to build a 65,000m² campus in the southern suburbs of Paris, France.

The contract is with Campus Agro, a project company created by AgroParisTech, Inra and French public sector financial institution Caisse des Dépôts, for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the campus of AgroParisTech – the Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences – and Inra – the French National Institute for Agricultural Research.

AgroParisTech and some of Inra’s research laboratories will be brought into the Paris region in the new campus, which will be in the commune of Palaiseau, in the heart of the Plateau de Saclay in the Essonne department.

It will be located close to the future Palaiseau station on Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express.

Designed by architects Marc Mimram and Jean Baptiste Lacoudre, the campus will be composed of eight buildings – an entrance building, five administrative and teaching buildings, and two buildings for laboratories – sited around a 2ha park.

The project is being implemented within the framework of a 30-year global design-construction-operation-maintenance and services contract.
