Pump manufacturer Xylem has expanded with the acquisition of hydrographic survey software company Hypack.

US-based Hypack said its expertise in survey data acquisition, processing, and visualisation software would complement Xylem's capabilities in ocean and coastal analytics and applications.

The company said Harold Orlinsky would continue as the general manager of Hypack, while founder and president Pat Sanders would “continue to play a prominent role” in the business, serving as a technical and marketing consultant. Lourdes Evans would also continue as sales manager.
