AFI Resale has sold its 2000th powered access machine, a 2004 Skyjack SJ4632 scissor lift.

The new and used machine retailer, part of the AFI Group in the UK, sold the scissor lift to Studio Schemes Ltd, a studio design and build company based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. AFI Resale marked the occasion by presenting the company with a certificate, champagne and a complimentary service maintenance agreement.

Studio Schemes Ltd has previously been a machine hire customer of AFI but decided to purchase the Skyjack machine because it was needed on a long-term contract.

Since its inception six years ago, AFI Resale’s sales have grown by more than 35% year on year.

AFI director Richard Saunders said, “We are experiencing strong demand from companies wanting to buy used and new machines, both in the UK and overseas.

“Used machines in particular are being snapped up in these difficult economic times as companies look to make savings by purchasing older models, especially those in the five to nine-years-old category.”
