Al Faris Equipment Rental sent two 250 tonne Liebherr all terrains to the Dubai Metro project where they lifted a 140 tonne gantry footbridge into place.

Al Faris Equipment Rental, based in Dubai, UAE, supplied two 250 tonne capacity Liebherr all terrains cranes to the Dubai Metro joint venture to lift a 140 tonne gantry footbridge into place at the new Jumeirah Lake Tower station.

The LTM 1250-6.1 telescopic mobile cranes lifted the gantry onto stools alongside the Sheik Zayed Road for fitting-out prior to it being positioned over the four lane road.

The steel pedestrian gantry is 32 m long, 10 m wide and 6 m high and its positioning on schedule was paramount to the opening of the Dubai Metro scheduled for later this year.
