Upgraded hoists from Alimak Hek.

Sweden-based Alimak Group is set to acquire Dataline i Borås. The company has been a major supplier of control systems for construction hoists and permanent lifts to Alimak for more than two decades. The acquisition follows Alimak Group’s strategy to invest in technologies to enable new, enhanced products and services, to increase future productivity and safety.

Dataline has a track-record of developing smart and cost-effective embedded controls, with most of its revenues coming from Alimak, said the manufacturer. It is the first step for Alimak in establishing an IoT development hub.

“After many years of successful, close partnership with Dataline, this acquisition makes a good foundation for our future hub for new smart vertical access solutions through digitalisation”, says Tormod Gunleiksrud, CEO Alimak Group.
